The AA’s used to be worth watching 40 years ago. Now that actors and actresses are no longer protected by the studios there’s no mystique to it.
New actors and actresses who were interesting and memorable over the long haul seemed to start tapering off after the 1980s ended. The same could be said for the movies produced by Hollywood as well. You could probably list any number of truly interesting and memorable movies and movie stars from the 1970s and 1980s, but fewer from the 1990s and beyond.
