This doesn’t make any sense. In another article it said Egypt and Jordan both asked the administration for intelligence data and they said no.

So which is it?

I don't see a conflict. They asked only for intelligence, were refused. They decided to attack with what they had, and without informing the idiot US govt. Where's the conflict?
Analogy: you ask to borrow $5 but I refuse. You go out and buy gas for your car. No conflict.
