A few years back—maybe 7, 8, 9 years ago or so—we had a huge regular Sunday thread crowd, and this thread could easily get over 1000 posts to it. We even had a Poster of the Thread award with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes done by Snugs. And the thread ended with her posting pictures of her Sunday dinner.
As those happy times died down, and many a Sunday thread poster either got zotted (huge number during the 2007/8 Guilliani massacre) or left or simply passed on, the count got lower and lower. We could barely top 100, let alone the 1000 we used to get.
I very much miss the wisdom and common sense of FReepers Phsstpok, Miss Marple, MNJohnnie and Pukin Dog. Lot’s of good people got the shaft and I’ll say no more.
Rock started a funny H. Ross Perot routine when we would break 100, or 200, or whatever century figure we were at, and pretend he was on Larry King.
Ya had to be there, I guess. I still laugh at it, and I hope Rock continues!
