I do not know if the correct terminology is treason or sedition or both, but if you step back and consider the totality of what he has done, it is clear that he should be removed from office.
He removed missile defense from eastern Europe, he intentionally gave back our battlefield wins in Iraq and Afghanistan, he has stabbed our best allies in the back and embraced our enemies, he tilted the balance of power in the Middle East in favor of our enemies, he armed terrorist organizations, he has crippled our economy with counter-productive tax and fiscal policy, he has weakened our economy with runaway debt, he has undermined domestic energy production, he has aided, compensated and encouraged unfettered illegal immigration, he has wrecked our healthcare system, he has degraded the quality of military personnel, he has degraded and reduced the size of the military, he has choked freedom and productivity with mountains of absurd regulation, he has grotesquely added to the cost of living of the consumer through regulation, he has reduced the availability of consumer credit through regulation, he has vastly raised operating costs of business through ridiculous regulation, he has fomented racial tension, he has threatened and intimidated the media, he has mocked our constitution, he has worked tirelessly to curtail the 2nd amendment right to bear arms, he has rewarded thugs and criminals and attacked law-abiding citizens, and now he is attempting to squash freedom of speech with regulation of the internet.
EVERYTHING and EVERY DECISION has been the polar opposite of what is moral and for the good of our nation. His intentions must be evil because even a complete moron gets something right every now and then, if only by chance.
As long as he occupies the White House, this nation is in grave danger. Someone must act and act soon.

I too have lost faith in the political parties — the two are in bed with each other and the American people are stuck in between of them.

The Republicans did what they said they would NOT do. They, IMNVHO, have more or less abandoned any pretense of constitutionality and exist to serve corporate donors, protecting them from the ravages of the Federal Bureaucracy, which writes the laws and administers them, creating the bills that the Republican Congress does not read before signing. They are in AA terminology, "Enablers." They are enabling our destruction as a viable Republic.
Be fair. If there is honor among thieves, a fair man must give the Democrats credit for doing exactly what they promised to set out to do, i.e., Transform America.
Look at Joe Biden and Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. Do you hear any Democrat talking about how Obama is a Moslem? Believe me, if Nancy Pelosi thought she was missing a little government graft gravy because Obama is a Moslem, she would be shrieking. Nancy likes her booze too much to be a Moslem.
There are a few honest Republicans, but they are held at arms length by the leadership. The leadership is totally corrupt.
My Congressman Dave Brat has made me very proud since getting in office. A refreshing change from the weasel Cantor who infuriated me.

However, look at the phenomenon I call the "Trey Goudy Effect." Sound and fury, essentially signifying nothing .... but support for some form of Amnesty or other for illegal aliens.
So far, merely by being loud and spouting what "conservatives" may want to hear, it is pathetically easy to be granted hero status. However, what are the few "heroes" actually accomplishing, beyond solidifying their grip on a safe seat? Damn clever, getting credit for being voices crying in the wilderness ... but we're still in the wilderness.

Wishing to see a backbone amongst C-GOP, as they are few, would be a start! It will have to be a colossal move to the Right, on the present day thinking of our politicians and populous.

I don't accept your thesis, at least regarding Ted Cruz, Steve King and Louis Gohmert.
Each of them would be further ahead in their careers if they had compromised their principles a bit here and there.
Why didn't Cruz, not a wealthy man, just stay in private practise earning over a million a year? Sacrifice on that scale in the interest of public service should tell us something. Ted Cruz never needed public office, much less a "safe seat".
