I'm refraining from making comments on this one, other then to say.
It is possible this is a blessing in disguised, somewhat, if the Iraqi forces
are soon sent out to kill off all the ISIS goons in the town and surrounding area.
Air Support is already at the air base. Has been for a long time.
Call it a test if one will, in a rough indication as how the few Iraqi
security forces under Marine/Spec OPS guidance might shortly demonstrate a new direction the Iraqi might take over this ISIS issue.
Beyond that. I hesitate to get into long discussions as to what has,
or has not been done to date regarding ISIS in Iraq proper.

A good ‘test run’ eh?
Yeah.
Too bad the Kurds and such couldn’t pincer ISISILLY..
PUFF is standing by . one would hope.. Along with close air support.. Or would that be too audacious an assumption.. To hope. That is. ;-)
30K ‘militants’.. 300 MArines AND CHANGE.. Sounds about right.
We’ll have to wait tho and see if Obama opts to play thru.
