Mixed feelings on this one.
Q: Why poke the hornets nest?
A: Because it is a murderous, cowardly, hypocritical hornets nest. And we need to show the hornets that we will not back down.
No one is teaching in public school Islam in an objective historical manner with accurate portrayals. Hiding Muhammad as a unnamable and unseen able God is for Muslims to do, not us. This is a way to take back our schools from Islamic history classes that make students pray Allah in class.
Jews never killed anyone for showing the face of God as some lumberjack on a cloud with a white beard. Also if Muslims want to be ridiculous and not look or watch their prophets while we can, let it be. Some will be curious and might change as a result, however, so let it be.
