That’s why they’re called ‘journalists’. There used to be a presumption that anyone so called was relating the story from their own particular viewpoint, as from a personal journal. The left loves the ‘objectivity’ hoax, but sometimes it catches up to them.
A reporter is someone who reports. A journalist is someone who shares their journal entries.
A journal is not a diary of facts. You can write anything in a journal. Memories, thoughts, poetry, short stories, fantasies... The point of a journal is to write, not to relate historical facts.
We don’t have reporters anymore, if we ever did. We have journalists. We shouldn’t be surprised when they share their journal entries.
