Everyone recognizes what someone means when they say bullets. It’s used that way everywhere, even in the USMC. IE,,,”Beans, Bullets, Bandages”.
Don’t be a prig. Yes of course he can tell you the definition of a bullet. If you are in a store buying reloading supplies, we will also know what you mean.

And while correct to the hobbiest shooter, its pretty 1876 and handlebar mustache to ask if someone has an “cartridges”. If you say that work we will be looking for your horseless carriage, parked by the gas light, as you go draw yourself a bath.

I hope if you have children that you will teach them proper English and discourage the use of profanity and un-informed street slang.

Words have meanings and the educated should not lower themselves to the lowest common denominator to be "cool" and part of the crowd. Your weak defense of the indefensible is sad and shameful. Try to rise to a higher standard and help to lift others.
