It was a damned stupid question and anyone who would vote for or against based on such a question is too stupid to vote anyway.
Actually get used to it because the British press love to ask U.S. politicians if they believe in evolution and then watch as the he or she hems and haws on their answer. They find it absolutely hilarious.
