Who cares if they sell Racoon.
I’ve had squirrel and racoon has way more meat...
Ranch 99 stinks.
“Welcome to We R Roadkill. How may I help you today?”
“I’d like two pounds of coon.”
“Will that be all?”
“Hmm. Say, throw in a six-pack of mice.”
“Would you like that to go?”
“No, I’ll eat it here.”
“Will be you sitting in gumming or non-gumming?”
Is raccoon considered dark meat?
Don’t know
I met Fess Parker a couple times, through my Dad and still have pictures of him getting out of his plane in Fremont, CA.
About 20 years ago I discovered his hotel in Santa Barbara “Fess Parker Hotel”.
I always ask for the same room. It’s perfect. Two queen size beds, spacious room.
The use to have complimentary wine from Fess Parker Winery but, they charge for it now.
They will take care of doggies free and water them.
They serve giant snicker doodle cookies at turn down.
and my favorite part is the room has a nice balcony, which is situated across the street from the ocean, which makes for a great evening as the sound of waters lulls me to sleep.
In the morning I’ll order a pot of coffee, sit on the balcony and take in the sunshine and ocean.
I usually eat at the restaurant of the hotel and have been invited many times to private events I had no previous invitation to and had some terrific dinners.
But, they got this bar on the south side of the hotel and it’s just perfect sitting outside and talking to strangers and laughing it up.
Montecito is close by and there are two place I like but, you have to arrive early to get a seat.
I’ve been to Bacara up the road but Fess Parker is the only place I relax and always my preference...
My grandpa, the epitome of a Tennessee hillbilly grew up dirt poor even before the he great depression said at times they ate ground hog, raccoon or possum, sometimes it was eat it or go hungry.
I’m missing it, what is “ranch 99”?
O.k. I got it...a grocery chain.
When I still lived there, the Asian markets signs were
all in Chinese script.
The “native” American born fire fighters and police
were hindered in locating emergencies because of that
Raccoons are like rats. Yuck.
That does sound nice.
Place is gross and I won’t go out with any woman who shops there...
Only brought him and the place up because of your coon hat fetish.
LOL
My brother and I had racoon hats and watched Daniel Boone and Davey Crockett ask kids.
Daniel Boone was a man
Yes, a big man.
Here is the opening theme song

There are two but, I always recall this one because he throws his hatchet.
Me too, and I don’t see anybody being forced to buy it. It’s not like it’s obamacare!
Well doggies....
If I were homeless I’d be eating BBQed small animals for dinner.
BFL
At 9 bucks a pound? I’ll take the steak.
