How could anyone believe that everything else about this guy is way Liberal: taxes, healthcare, welfare, abortion, “rebuild America on a new foundation” (which requires tearing the entire place down first) - BUT, when it comes down to marriage he takes the traditional, conservative view?!
As mentioned in related threads, also PC interpretation of the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protections clause aside, interpretions being used by pro-gay actiivst judges force gay marriage down our throats, the states have never amended the Constitution to expressly protect gay marriage.
So even if most citizens supported gay marriage, it remains that the states are free to make 10th Amendment-protected state laws prohibiting constitutionally unprotected gay marriage, as long as such laws don’t unreasonably abridge constitutionally enumerated rights.
In other words, by saying he did not lie about this issue he in fact just told another lie.
