I don’t take joy in his personal implosion, but neither do I give him much slack, either.

I have never liked or respected him from day one. I always thought he was an anti-American liberal, more in tune with the likes of Walter Cronkite and Ted Kennedy than most Americans.

I am glad he is gone, but there is just another one to take his place.

That said, I don’t wish him ill. I just wish him gone. And I can say a prayer that he comes to terms with who he is.

I pray that they all come to terms with who they are - and how low they have fallen.

For only then can we begin to rebuild, and we must pray that we can, for our children and grandchildren, so that they do not have to live lives of deception, suspicion, control, and subjugation.

My constant worry is that we have now slipped too far over the edge, and that it might be too late.

So, as we pray for this poor lost “sell-out” (Brian Williams), we must pray for his ilk in the corridors of power, and for our country, which is slip-sliding down the slope into whatever “heck” one wants to call it.

About half of our voting population doesn’t watch the news, doesn’t care about honesty in our government, as long as they get their “freebies”, and they willingly vote for any dolt who promises them more and better than the other guy, who might be trying to save them from the total disaster that ensues when the music stops, the dollar defaults, and there is no more “free stuff”.

It is no longer the country we oldsters grew up in, and the idiotic demands mount up day by day, as do the government clamp-downs on health care, education, and even the internet.

Our constitution is ignored, and nothing is done to stop the marxist creep by either the Congress or the Court. We have been silently taken over by the worst of the “boomers”, who endlessly call for us to disrespect the best of the “boomers”.

I am not sure why we should ask our young men to defend the indefensible nonsense coming from the remains of our government. Both of my sons served, but I would advise my grandsons not to enlist, given the elimination of our best officers, and the present mess of our foreign policy, and the crappy rules of engagement forced on those now serving.

Hurts me to say that, Friends. I once believed, but have been betrayed.

Brian Williams is just a canary, or is he a “squirrel”, served up as a distraction?

Anyway, will pray for his redemption, as I do for our nation - that we all wake up in time to climb back up the cliff of destruction.
