It wasn’t unlikely that he saw bodies floating ‘near’ the French Quarter. They were everywhere! Hundreds of them lying throughout the city typically found on neutral grounds of larger streets. Mostly elderly or homeless who couldn’t/wouldn’t leave.

Our area wasn’t hit badly as it’s higher and downriver from FQ.

I don’t believe his story about being shot at in Iraq, but I believe him when he talks about the Katrina dead of New Orleans.

I don’t believe it. I know a lot of stories will never be told — many of them having to do with LEO lawlessness. But I will need to see some evidence before I believe claims about hundreds of dead on the neutral grounds.

I didn’t stay for Katrina, but I was back fast. Never hear one shot fired. I was uptown.

The French Quarter is on high ground and didn’t flood.

I believe there were bodies on the streets of NOLA. However, I highly doubt the hotel was taken over by armed gangs. I would suspect we would have heard more than one person cooberate his story.
