Chauncey DeVega, black writer, podcaster, and self-proclaimed "ghetto nerd," shared an essay on Daily Kos in which he reminds those that are horrified by the brutality of ISIS burning Lt. Muath al-Kasasbeh alive to remember that white Americans did the same thing to blacks in the past.
"American Exceptionalism blinds those who share its gaze to uncomfortable facts and truths about their own country," wrote DeVega. Adding that just like their Islamic cohorts, "white lynchers" practiced their own "unique cultural ritual" that was just as "gruesome" and "medieval" as ISIS "for almost a century." And instead of making a video of the crime and posting the propaganda on the Internet as is done today, whites of old shared "the spectacular lynchings of the black body" through postcards and "other media."

On the flip side; So, Blacks shoot up Black neighborhoods daily and kill innocent Blacks - why shouldn’t Whites start doing the same?
Poor assumption.
SOME whites have been doing that in crime-ridden neighborhoods going back to Chicago (& other city) mob days.
Secondly, you seem this week to have a penchant for mentioning "blacks" minus any keyboard effort to qualify that as "some/many" blacks or certain urban blacks, or certain black looters.
You just size up blacks in this post as "shooters" and whites as "non-neighborhood shooters" as if blacks across the board were, and whites across the board weren't.
Sorry...but I am calling you on that:
That's racist clap-trap.
I mean, to cite somebody I know, "If you spent one tenth of the effort you expend pointing out the faults of.... blacks as you might expending the Words of the Gospels, your life might shape into some "purpose."
So...allow some of that sage advice you're dishing out on various threads to be aimed at your own keyboard.
Woo-hoo; good one! The main difference is my "racism" was a direct response to a Black's racist statements and was used to point out the hypocrisy of those statements. You need no excuses or such references to keep spreading your hate-fest against Mormons. I also understand that when I get "rowdy", it doesn't glorify me or God - you seem to think it does both when you do it.
..."seem to think"...
So you're a mind-reader, too, eh?
And not only post what you think others "think"...but wind up both disrespecting both forum rules and the fellow poster...
How is that "Christian" behavior?
The main difference is my "racism" was a direct response to a Black's racist statements and was used to point out the hypocrisy of those statements
Are you actually claiming here that "revenge racism" is somehow justified?
