Im from here. Still live here. Yeah...lotsa poor ole redneck....lotsa smarmy transplants too.
This happened in the eastern part of the county. Had it happened in the west part....where more natives lived...been a better chance of an armed neighbor putting a stop to this.
The perp is an ex-husband:

“...a man came to a house and shot his ex-wife and several children. Police were still working Saturday to identify the victims and confirm their relationships, he said.
The shooter, whose name has not been released, is believed to have died by a self-inflicted gunshot wound,...”
Nice link. The portrait on the wall on the fourth frame indicates that it is not a redneck family.
Over by Annawakee Rd...
Oh wow. More violence. I can feel the rains coming....
wouldn’t be surprised if Al Shartpon is hoping its a white dude taking out blacks at random. he has to come up with another 4 million somehow.
My little granddaughter lives over there, in Douglasville. She lives with her mom, her aunt and twin girl cousins in an amazingly large house. I just heard about this. I think I’ll text her mom in the morning. I wish I’d have known about this soon enough to call.
This is the second time this has happened in Douglasville in about a month. eeek.
Area looks pretty upscale.
Mmmmmmm, Mmmmmm, Mmmmm!
I doubt work had anything to do with it.
So what? Simple background. I bet you didn’t know the population of Douglasville, or anything about it. Well, neither did I. In fact, I’ve never heard of the place. Sounds like a small town to me. Shootings like this are expected in Chicago, and Miami; but it is a singular rarity in a small town. That’s “so what.”
I grew up in winston...currently live near sweetwater park.
This was a good family. Our community is heart broken.
Any help would be appreciated.

If this had happened in the western part of the county, where most of us natives lived, there prolly woulda been an armed response.
