What’s the point of even having a congress that doesn’t make laws? The erosion of congressional power is really amazing, but they seem to be OK with it. As long as they get their paychecks they’re happy.

The erosion of congressional power is really amazing, but they seem to be OK with it. They don't see it as erosion of their power, they see it as being able to impose what would be unpopular law without the blow-back of accountability.
