With academics, writers and journalists present, the meeting was published on the website of the World Bulletin. World Bulletin Research Panel have placed their mark on their round table meetings. Prof. Dr. Ali Murat Yel, researcher and writer Levent Basturk and journalist Saadet Oruc's meeting was moderated Aynur Erdogan.
Levent Basturk highlighted the historical dimension of Islamophobia in his speech. Basturk explained that the concept of Islamophobia had gained ground but was rooted in events prior to 9/11, saying: "A liberal-left think tank in the UK had organised reports about attacks on Muslim immigrants. The report didn't just focus on attacks but also disciminatory policies as well as suggesting solutions. That report also mentioned Islamophobia".
Prof. Dr. Ali Murat Yel said that this marginalisation particularly affected the Muslims living in Europe. Saying that Islamophobia was a purely political concept, Prof. Yel stated that: "It actually is of little concern to us. Who is working towards Islamophobia? The political actors and their oppponents. Racists, and discrimination isn't only towards Muslims but to all people apart from themselves. But Muslims are the most affected".

Let us not forget that jihad was (and is) not only Christianaphobia, but also Buddhistaphobia, Hinduphobia, Zoroasterophobia, and every other rligionaphobia.
What blows me away about the Crusade claim is that the Crusades were quite obviously a long-delayed (over 400 years), short-term (200 to 400 years, depending on how you figure it, vs. 1300 years and counting) and rather ineffective attempt to import the Muslim concept of jihad or holy war into Christianity.
To believe in Holy War a Christian is required to ignore foundational passages in his Scriptures. To NOT believe in Holy War a Muslim is required to ignore foundational passages in his Scriptures.
The crusades were a response to sartanic Islamic aggression. The only admirable Muslim was Saladin. Islam must be eliminated for freedom to live.
It is not Islamophobia. It is horror at the news of children being sold as sex slaves, buried alive, crucified and made to watch their parents’ beheading. It is the reality of savages using religion to push their Nazi ideology. It is savagery of the Sixth Century in the modern information age. It is raw savage conquest and the normal reaction to it by a civilized world.

Within a few years of Mohammed’s death, jihadists had conquered formerly Christian north africa (rememeber St Augustine?), swept through Spain and invaded France. They soon seized the holy land from the Christian Byzantine Empire and before they were done had slaughtered their way through the Balkans all the way to Vienna. It took 700 years of war to drive them out of Spain and hundreds to drive them out of southeastern Europe.
The Crusades were just one effort to turn back the tide of jihad. Because it failed, Asia Minor soon fell, and then the Balkans, and then Europe got to face them in Austria.
Turkey wasn’t originally Turkish, and the middle east wasn’t originally muslim. People need to stop apologizing for the Crusades. The west has a lot to atone for but the Crusades aren’t among them.
OK, so why have we stopped the Crusades? Islam is as much to be feared and hated today as it was when the Crusaders retaliated. Ask any Western country if it is better off because of the Muslims that have invaded. The only honest answer is no. In all the history of Islamic slavery, it has never improved anything, but it has destroyed lives and progress wherever it inflicts itself.
Deport Islam.
Islam is a war plan. The Crusades, a response.
Islamaphobia kills, it is the trojan horse of our time, believe it and you will be conquered by it, very much like coexist
Islamophobia is common sense for anybody not muslim with two brain cells to rub together. Sorry, death for non-muslims and slavery for women are just plain evil and this world needs people to stand up and fight this evil not let the pc left destroy us from within by silencing those with the courage to point this out.
This type of tripe is the result of history classes taught using REVISED history texts and progressive educators.

Obama outdid himself on this one. That must be the tact that was discussed in his secret meetings with his Muslim Brothers.

The Crusades were a Medieval response to Islamic savagery and aggression. To the extent that there are still savage and aggressive Islamists,”Islamophobia” is motivated by the same causes as the Crusades.
In fact, if the Islamists keep it up, I’m afraid there may soon come a time when the public begins to demand a new Crusade.
So the Catholics are still doing their evil 1000 years later, meaning the Crusades haven’t really ended. The islamic genocide being the natural antidote to this Catholic poison, let’s give the IS and their maniacs at least another 1000 years to balance things out.
