conducting a search on my hands and knees, when I felt something warm, squishy and furry on the floor of a closet. Don't Fireman wear gloves? If so, how could he tell that the thing he touched was warm...hell, the house was on FIRE!

I’ve worn those gloves once. If you held said puppy long enough the heat from the dog would be felt, but during a primary search I doubt you would feel the heat.
