I saw him with The Who back in the mid nineties. He was backup to Roger Daltry; and was used to hit the high notes that Daltry could no longer hit, on songs such as “Rain on Me” and “Won't get Fooled Again”. Prior to that had never heard of him. Had no idea he was a Pedo. Coincidentally wasn't Pete Townsend once charged with having kiddie porn or something like that??

He was very big in the UK in the 70’s, only had a couple of US hits, ironically the tunes are used in your sports arenas and are probably better known than the artist.

Townsend accessed a child porn website, but never downloaded anything or paid to join (confirmed by police). He also informed his manager what he was doing. He was/is a survivor of sexual abuse, and has said that he opnely wanted to see what child porn there was on the net, in order to expose it. He passed on the site to police and anti-child porn crusaders.

Its a weird one.
