I’m wondering if someone has seen a list where Williams has all reported this falsehood. I suspect that he did not lie in the original reporting of it back in 2003 but we do know that when he was interviewed on Letterman (which was much more recently) he went on at length about it. Has he actually been relaying this false story all along even before the Letterman interview i.e. where it’s actually documented?
Nope, he exaggerated even then, as shown on Fox News with Bill Hemmer this am but the exaggerations continued until they became more outrageous for “misremembering.”
