Actually, the “Beacon of Freedom” is what America used to be called. Today I’m afraid “the flickering light of what once was” would be more appropriate. _______________________________________________________ On that we agree. “Not only did freedom go out with a whimper, the sheep demanded that the Government make them slaves.”

I think it is more of a numbers game:

There are approximately 35 million people getting free money from the government. They are NEVER going to vote any way except to keep getting free money from the government.

To win the Presidency, the cancer needs about an additional 35 million liberals and half-wits. Not a difficult number to achieve.

For sanity to win, there need to be 70 million or so sane people going to the polls and voting. I’m finding it hard to believe we have that many sane people remaining, and their numbers appear to be diminishing year by year.

It’s not too difficult to win when you buy half of the votes you need. Of course someday we will run out of the ability to keep borrowing money to pay these losers, and then all hell will break loose.

I only hope all the sane people keep up their marksmanship skills. When the fateful day arrives, they will need to achieve a good kill ratio as I am sure they will be significantly out numbered. In truth, we probably are already.
