Oh I remember this one! It was with Charlton Heston and Eleanor Parker. It was a love story and a thriller/creature-feature flick from about the 1950’s or early 60’s. I also remember reading the short story it came from in (I think) jr. high. I saw the movie a number of years later as an adult, and I loved it! The short story didn’t have the romantic aspect of it, if I remember it right. Maybe it did, but I don’t remember. I guess that’s Hollywood! (laugh)
