That struck me too. Terrified, and then in agony, but died more bravely than I could have, I think.

Just thinking about it both enrages me, makes me want to cry for his family, and fills me with respect for that young man.

Oh, yes, absolutely. I can't imagine being engulfed in flames and knowing it's coming. In my post, I'm wrong that he was Jewish. He was Muslim. I don't know where my mind was! I still think he went straight to Heaven.
