It seems to me that you are quibbling over terminology, or perhaps really are unable to grasp the concept being discussed.

Are you aware that Arab Muslims have been credited with developing the concept of zero as a number, rather than just the absence of a number? Islam is often criticized for suppressing honest inquiry, and therefor stifling innovation. The development of the use of the zero in mathematics is often offered to demonstrate that Arab Muslims did contribute significantly to human knowledge.

Well in fact it wasn’t them. When they conquered areas in Northern India, books were translated into Arabic. Europeans first picked up this technique from Arabic language books, so this innovation has been incorrectly attributed to Arabs under Islam.

If the problem is that the mathematical concept itself is too abstract for you to comprehend, then I can’t help you, and am not interested in arguing about it.

We are way off topic, and the Jordanian prisoners have already been executed.
