Do you know there is no requirement to be a lawyer to sit on the Supreme Court, as I understand it? Probably not, my step dad became the County judge a few years after he retired from his job, and he had never attended college.

Do you know there is no requirement to be a lawyer to sit on the Supreme Court, as I understand it? True. Hopefully President Cruz will appoint Sarah Palin to be Chief Justice. (At the end of her second term as Vice President).

Lawyers are the problem in Government and why we’re in the shape we’re in. Far to many laws in this country and as far as I’m concerned lawyers should be banned form any government position.

US Supreme Court justices do not need to be lawyers. However, Solicitors General are required to be “learned in the law.”
