These days, our politicos aren’t really street-fighting cutthroats looking after the interests of our country. They’re currently a bunch of idiots working on the most fashionable causes of our day, mainly ornamental aristocrats, which is the last thing we can afford to have. None of them have any real world work experience and none of them are of any practical use to our country. The First Ladies are meddling in affairs of state and allowed to create legislation and too few of them know the English language, much less a second or third language that would enable the better building of relations. None of them are trained in diplomacy, none of them are even able to speak articulately, none of them have any alliances that could benefit our country in the long run.
That sounds about right to me. And if anything they are looking for ways to sell off chunks of the country to the highest bidder.
