From the picture, I don’t really like the size of that backstop.

I fully agree. The Huntington Beach Police range was open to the public, I used to shoot there, and it was MUCH more well appointed than this so called range. One day a guy went high with a .45 round, and it ended up going through a sliding glass door, several hundred yards away. They closed the range down, shortly thereafter.
