In the pre-game hype, I saw Snicker’s did a commercial starring Danny Trejo and Steve Buscemi. I never did see it on the breaks but found it by Googling it. One of the better ones.
I guess the old adage of “bad publicity” is better than no publicity still applies...
I don’t like Nationwide’s snarky “hello, isn’t that what insurance is for” ads because they’re sending a message that not having rates increased for any reason should be some kind of entitlement...but it comes at a cost, as the fine print says...it’s an “optional” coverage.
It was universally panned by the women watching in the room I was in so I’d say it was a bad choice by Nationwide. If you offend half the audience, getting an increase in sales from your expensive investment in buying that placement is doubtful.
I liked the puppy and horsie add where the horses helped the puppy escape from a mean wolf and get back home.
The domestic violence add was chilling.
it also had a creepy undertone of buying life insurance on kids which is ominous in creepy ways.
In the advertising world they are known as ‘burrs’, you may hate them but you will remember and talk about them.
Gotta love the puppy
Gotta love wolf pups too.
“My favorites were Walter White as a druggist and Fiat Viagra”
Snickers Brady Bunch. That was my favorite.
My favorite!!
It was a Budweiser ad. Such a cute widdo pup!
I was out of the room only caught part near the end with Steve Buscemi
I agree but there are two exceptions that I can think of.
Some single business owners need insurance to allow for a smooth financial transition of their business if they should die.
And...Single people should not burden their relatives with burial expenses if they should die. A very small term life insurance is very inexpensive and will provide enough for burial.
What’s being described here? Was this from a real event or from an advertisement? (Pizza Order masking 911 call).
I LOL’ed! I’m amazed no one else seems to have found this funny!
There was a real event. Snopes covers it at http://www.snopes.com/crime/cops/911pizza.asp (regardless of what you think of Snopes’ conclusions in general, they at least aggregate the known facts about the incident.)
Extremely dark and extremely funny.
Marcia, Marcia, Marcia...it’s always Marcia. Great ad!
And can I give props to Loctite (I didn’t chose the fanny pack life, it chose me!) and the Dodge 100th Anniversary ad. Fun and not preachy ads
Or maybe we could just get 0 to issue an EO banning accidents.
