It's equally delusional that we'll never catch and incarcerate all criminals. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't do all within our legal power and within the scope of our resources to achieving this goal.

You're dealing in the abstract and luxuriating in irrelevant purity. Think about what I said. These 10-15 million illegals are only guilty of one misdemeanor. I know everything thinks they commit a felony each and every day they are here - and maybe that should be the case - BUT ITS NOT.

You're also ignoring the fact that the 80-100 million legal citizens who know, like, work with, go to school with, go to little league with, go to church with etc the 15 million illegals DO NOT WANT THIS TO HAPPEN. Maybe they should, but they don't.

You see, I deal in reality. The reality is this issue CAN be handled by securing the border and changing policy on government hand outs. It would handle itself. My suggestion works. Your abstraction will never work.

Of course, the corollary of your all-knowing "wisdom" is that because we can't deport them all, we must instead reward them with a path to citizenship? That's the sort of sleazy subterfuge that people like you use to sell "path to citizenship", aka amnesty by another name, isn't it?

I repeat what I said. I agree that we won't catch or deport them all. That doesn't mean we have to make life easy or pleasant for those who are here, or that we can't deport a lot of them. If you disagree with this premise, your stated position differs from Obama's in rhetoric, not in practice.
