He was not thrown out.
He left early because he had to take care of his mom if I remember correctly. She was ill. He then later on ran for WI state assembly and won, and was one for awhile, then later ran for Milwaukee County Exec and won, several times, and then ran for Governor and won.
I believe he is working to finish his degree.
