but - when did he figure it out? And let’s be fair, he was not confined to a state - he was a man of the world - the Commander of the Allied Forces in WW2.

I didn’t say Walker shouldn’t ever figure it out, I just said I would expect him to be behind Cruz on this issue like Cruz is probably behind Walker on government unions. I think they’ll both get up to speed on all of it at some point....

Hah!

Perry’s heartless comment has been the basis for my tagline ever since he said that :D

But I am not heartless. I love my country, and I do not want to see it destroyed by politicians and their schemes.

I do not trust any politician on this quite frankly, and the extreme solutions are certainly not going to happen, which is why those solutions are the only one’s ever mentioned by politicians, for the very reason that they are non-starters, and actual solutions are never discussed at all.

I have never heard a single politician say that this journey starts with the first step. They do not want to go there.

On Walker, definitely agreed. I will give him audience and even room to breath on this, but if he tries to play me for a fool, I am not going to like that.

But if it boils down to Walker versus Hillary in the general though, I will vote for him even if he BS’s on this.

At this point Jeb is the only candidate who had best not even apply.

Who suggested that we do not deport them. I am in favor of deporting illegals when we catch them. Please don’t parse this into me saying that I do not think we should pursue illegals.

I don’t think that post was directed to you, Perdogg. I was referring to people, including politicians, who say that it is impossible to deport 11 million people at once, therefore we don’t deport any of them and just give them amnesty all the while letting in thousands more each day.

I believe that their saying that is a specific tactic designed to freeze any action whatsoever, because it cannot all be achieved at once, and I reject that tactic and anyone who employs it.

“How about the ‘Back taxes’ ??”

Tough to calculate that when none of your income was ever reported. But yes, Rubio used it effectively to CONVINCE Americans (or at least RINOs) that he intended to “punish” those law breakers.

“Some people claim if you are not in favor of 100% deportation of illegals then you support amnesty.”

How would you, then, define those are allowed to stay? Maybe some are legitimate refugees, but very few.

“I don’t think ted cruz is even advocating the police state that would be required to search out each and every illegal and instantly transport them out of the country.”

Let’s hope he does so. For if he does, he WINS.

There is no one, no one, who is going to deport the tens of millions of illegal aliens. It's not going to happen.

This is such an inane line of argument, i.e. we can't possibly catch or deport them all, so let's not even bother trying. I can't help but think that those who bring up this Red Herring do so because they're actually in favor of illegal immigration and letting all or most illegal immigrants stay here. To follow the same specious "logic," we'll never catch all thieves either, so let's just not bother arresting and incarcerating people for theft.

but what you want is never going to happen. It’s a legal impossibility, it’s a logistical impossibility, it’s a law enforcement impossibility - and most Americans do not want it..... you’re free to hold out for a delusion that is not possible if you want to.....

It's equally delusional that we'll never catch and incarcerate all criminals. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't do all within our legal power and within the scope of our resources to achieving this goal. Because we can't find/deport all doesn't mean that we can't make a big dent by deporting a lot of them, or that we can't have laws that make the lives of those who are here illegally so difficult that they will self-deport (one of Mitt Romney's few intelligent proposals back in 2012 - too bad it wasn't in the least bit sincere).

You're dealing in the abstract and luxuriating in irrelevant purity. Think about what I said. These 10-15 million illegals are only guilty of one misdemeanor. I know everything thinks they commit a felony each and every day they are here - and maybe that should be the case - BUT ITS NOT.

You're also ignoring the fact that the 80-100 million legal citizens who know, like, work with, go to school with, go to little league with, go to church with etc the 15 million illegals DO NOT WANT THIS TO HAPPEN. Maybe they should, but they don't.

You see, I deal in reality. The reality is this issue CAN be handled by securing the border and changing policy on government hand outs. It would handle itself. My suggestion works. Your abstraction will never work.

Of course, the corollary of your all-knowing "wisdom" is that because we can't deport them all, we must instead reward them with a path to citizenship? That's the sort of sleazy subterfuge that people like you use to sell "path to citizenship", aka amnesty by another name, isn't it?

I repeat what I said. I agree that we won't catch or deport them all. That doesn't mean we have to make life easy or pleasant for those who are here, or that we can't deport a lot of them. If you disagree with this premise, your stated position differs from Obama's in rhetoric, not in practice.

You lying jackass scum...I NEVER said that - I've SAID THE OPPOSITE many times on this forum. It's a false choice. I said create the incentives for self deportation. Don't be an obtuse lying sumbith.

Go throw your temper tantrums to someone who cares, little boy. Everything I’ve seen of you on this forum suggests that you’re repulsive narcissist. Then you keep on confirming it beyond a shadow of a doubt with every post...

the fact that I may be a narcissist doesn’t change the fact that you’re an obtuse lying jackass who just made an absurd and totally wrong accusation.

One of us is man enough to own up.....but probably only one of us.

Of course. The intent is to discourage you and get you to give up. It’s Wormtongue’s strategy if you know The Lord of the Rings. Medved uses this technique.
