Actually, as I mentioned, I was talking specifically about the 50’s and 60’s, when as scared as everyone was of polio, measles was killing twice as many people.
But there seems to be quite a few cases ‘in the wild’ as shown here.

Are you saying we should no longer vaccinated for polio? If so, how long do you think it would be before someone from the Mideast started an epidemic here.

I’m not a proponent of vaccinations in general - so when discussing with my very pro-vaccination doctor, Polio was the one I was concerned about - because of fear. He said the one I should give my daughter when she was older was the tetanus shot, not polio.
