"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

He’s my choice. If the GOP chooses someone else, they’ll have to win without me.

Reminds me of Newt’s very successful “contract with America” in the 90’s. Why haven’t the Repubs tried something like that again?

“6) “We need to pass fundamental tax reform, making our tax code simply, flatter, fairer.” He said this should include one key plan: “We should abolish the IRS.””

Sweet music to my ears!!!

I will vote for Ted Cruz, early and often!!!

:-)

Why haven’t the Repubs tried something like that again?

Because the media laughed at it and claimed it was a failure.

The Beltway Republicans believed them.

Ted Cruz is the guy we should elect President. That’s why we probably won’t.

“Newt” was clear on what he would do in the hours immediately following inauguration if he were to be elected but it’s a little too early for Senator Cruz to do that. I’m surprised Newt hasn’t endorsed Senator Cruz but it is early. Senator Cruz has many of Newt’s attributes but without the baggage.

I would add to that the pubbies need to have a new industrial vision more powerful than that of the democrats.

the core of the industrial vision is to

1.)kill the cost of energy so that electrical production is 1/10 the cost of current cheapest coal electricity.

2.)kill the cost of desalinized water so that desalinized water is cheap enough for irrigating desert lands like california, arizona and the intermountain west.

Easy to see why so many of us love this guy!

However, are we being hypocrites after discussing birther issues and wishing for a guy who was born in Canada?

I’m asking sincerely, I love this guy, however, he was born in Canada ..... can or should he be a future president?

It won’t help that mitt just gave Walker his 20 pts, and that Rush spent the week inflating Walker into SUPERMAN, and that the Kochs want Walker/Rubio - evidenced by the interview and subsquent media explosion - and that Iowa was ‘won’ by Walker when clearly Cruz won it, on and on...

Ted, you gotta get up and AT THEM non-stop from here on in. Show how Walker is really only interested in slaying Unions and not all the Departments and bureacracies standing in our way. No more days off.

I’ve decided I’m going to write his name in - for both the primary and the regular election.

I will NOT vote for Bush, Christie, Huckabee, Rubio, etc., so a write-in is my only other option.

I would vote for Walker, if he had Cruz on his ticket.

Damn right! It's not an issue.

No hypocrisy involved. If Obama was born in Hawaii, he's a U.S. citizen, eligible to serve as the President. And there hasn't been any evidence to the contrary.

However, if Obama had been born out of the country, his mother was too young -- under the citizenship laws then prevailing -- to confer U.S. citizenship. That is the only situation under which his citizenship can be questioned.

Cruz' mother, however, was old enough to confer citizenship. Accordingly, despite being born in Canada, Cruz was a US citizen-at-birth and his eligibility is unquestioned.

1. Too much work
2. Too conservative
3. Too easy for public to hold them accountable
4. Too many bad articles by the media
5. Too many phone calls from the public

Should I go on ..???????????????

These excuses are why you need a Cruz/Walker type of person who will not be swayed by what the public or the media has to say about them.

Ted Cruz is a true quarterback for patriotism because his balls are fully inflated. His questioning of Loretta Lynch was outstanding. Showed her for what she is.. Eric Holder in a pants suit.
