Inadequate education, institutional corruption, rampant crime and a lack of investment are holding these countries back.

Speaking in terms of Honduras ONLY, my brother-in-law, who is from Honduras is currently a successful Oncologist and NATURALIZED CITIZEN (disclaimer necessary for obvious reasons) here in S.E. Michigan.

Honduras has gone thru many years of tumultuous political problems which were eventually stabilized since the mid 1990's.......

Unfortunately, Honduras and all of Central America has been taken over by the drug cartels....

The only solution is martial law and the necessary total eradication of everyone and anyone known to be involved in the drug trafficking......

Wipe out the cartels and the drugs and their economies will begin to flourish.......

I had heard rumors of that being the case. The cartels have apparently rearranged society .
