I used to be very involved in the Los Angeles Macintosh Group. We were pretty big at one point. But it was afun place to interact and meet people here in LA.

It was always fun to talk to other .mac people to ask how they dealt with a problem or what stores to go to.

But the idea of me going to a PCGroup never occupied to me ... That’s what they are doing.

I was a member of PMUG, Portland Mac Users Group, which used to be very popular and active. They are still there in Portland (although I’m not in Portland now). Those groups are not as popular any more, especially with the popularity of the “web” just starting up in the mid-90s.

It was a great group of people to be around.

I also taught classes for the Senior Citizens Center for those seniors who were just getting their first computers, which were iMacs, at the time. It was a joy to teach them, as the Mac OS was so intuitive and made things so much easier in teaching them!
