Apple finally made a phone similar to Samsung’s big screen Galaxys (something Jobs would never have allowed) and Apple is bragging that they have “beaten Samsung”.
Huh?
“Copy Samsung” is more like it.
Sauce for the goose if so. Samsung made no bones about copying Apple.
Apple adhered to Steve Jobs' philosophy regarding the size of a smartphone, with ergonomics dictating a need to fit into peoples' hands comfortably. When viewed purely as being primarily a phone, Jobs was correct.
However, preference for larger "phablet" phones that blurred the distinction between phones and tablets, continued to grow primarily in overseas markets, where such devices were often the sole internet access point as well as telecommunications.
With the passage of Jobs, it took some overcoming fears of cannibalizing iPad sales, but eventually they came out with a "phablet" of their own, to great success.
As it appears to have turned out, people were buying Android "phablets" merely because they couldn't get it in an iPhone. Now that they can ... boom.
you get it. The iDrones on here will glad hand each other as if their iCult is taking over.
