My biggest problem is the fact that they give me 200 channels that I don’t watch for the 5 or 10 I watch on a regular basis and another 5 or 10 I might watch occasionally.

Despite the self righteousness of the internet Amish, there is good television out there for smart viewers. I usually start my day watching the BBC world news because American news barely touches world news. Then I flip over to FOX and fools for background noise for a while. Aside from that I’ve usually got the science channel on or some kind of history. ( The other night i watched a great history show about the WWII joint Canadian/American mountain fighting force “The black devils”)

“Despite the self righteousness of the internet Amish”

I refuse to PAY for television and its political indoctrination, when I know they destroyed free broadcast television to force people to pay for television they used to get for free. Instead, I use the Internet and, spit, YouTube (the evil Google) and other Internet resources to view what little television news is needed. Especially financial market news.

Then there is the quality television, Have Gun Will Travel (Richard Boone), Bonanza, Wagon Train, Rawhide....
