Just trying to figure out what inspired her to do something that stupid.

The modern state of law enforcement. They've went from using common sense and realizing that their salaries are paid for by us, to seeing everybody as a potential threat, a warm body that can be pushed around, and/or potential revenue.

The first 4-5 decades of my life, almost all of my personal interactions with law enforcement were positive, with a few being what I call "neutral", which were understandable given the situation. I did encounter racism directed at black service members that were friends of my dad among some redneck cops, along with racism directed at a young black officer that served under me in the 70s, but that was The South, and was the norm.

The last ten or fifteen years, with few exceptions, all of my interactions with law enforcement have been mostly negative. Cops that are obviously fishing, cops that don't respect the 2nd Amendment, cops that don't respect the Constitution in general.

I make it a point to record any interactions I have with law enforcement these days, and I've told my daughters and son to do the same, although he already has a strong distrust of law enforcement. I've changed my travel habits as well, and avoid a state or two when I can.
