As far as I can remember there were multiple witnesses to the altercation but everyone was so trashed the stories didn’t jive so it was a confusing mess. I read a few of the witness accounts and it sounds like most likely Kyle punched Jesse’s lights out.

Assuming you had read his book, you would have noticed that Kyle didn't mention Ventura by name. Why do you suppose that was? Could it be that if the event never occurred, Kyle would have been guilty of slander? Of course it would......

It wasn't until his book signing tour that Kyle made the claim that the guy he punched out in that now proven false bar fight was Jesse Ventura........Unfortunately that was his big mistake, the slander was now on public record and Ventura was obligated to clear his name by whatever means necessary.

And a court of law vindicated him........

Kyle's accomplishments in Iraq were already verified by military documentation and he should have left it at that. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, he chose to embellish his legendary status by claiming events that nobody has been able to substantiate..........
