To: Hot Tabasco

I think of my grandfather (dead now) ... who was from the horse and buggy days, before the days of flight and all the modern conveniences, and he lived to see men on the moon. What a lifetime he had!

I think of my grandfather (dead now)I was referring to a 94 year old lady who owned a bed and breakfast out in N.W. Kansas that I stayed in one night while on a pheasant hunting trip out there.

Her father drilled a well with the old post and horse method......then the house was moved into town via a mule train pulling the house over logs.........Then there was her account of "the great dust bowl"........

She was a living history book, I wish I could have spent more time with her.........
