I think she was planning on running, but given Romney's hardball tactics, she decided against it, after renting the bus, etc. All of the candidates dropped out eventually, given Romney's relentless slanders. And Sarah had already had a dose of what Romney was capable of doing in 2008. I do not fault her for making the decision after all not to try to run; the cost for her family was probably just too great, because she felt that there was not much the Romney machine would not do to destroy her; that Romney with all of his money had decided the nomination was his. While I get really mad when the pundits try to compare this, Romney's evident 3rd attempt to run, with Ronald Reagan who won the election after being nominated the very first time, RR did make an effort to win the nomination twice before. So what is wrong with Sarah, still a young woman trying again? Other candidates have made some early attempts at running and then decided not to pursue the nomination, but since they did not rent a bus, is it the fact that she rented a bus and then dropped out is what you are upset about? Was it your bus, and you were counting on the rental income?

Maybe there was another reason, too. Palin endorsed Gov. Perry in his run for governorship, and he'd sworn up and down that he was going to remain in the governorship, by golly, follow through. He won, then crawfished and ran in the presidential primaries anyway.
I think that might have been part of it. Windy probably remembers it better than I do.

I’ve got nothing against her running again, but I am probably not going to back her if she does. She had the chance to run with my support, but she squandered it and I have moved on.
Why are you upset about that? Were you counting on my political contributions or something? Or is that just a silly question, hmm?
