The girls might just get the idea that they can become priests...

I know I'll get flamed for this, but once demographics and reality catch up to the Vatican (i.e. they cannot find enough men willing to take a vow of celibacy to keep churches open and operating) you WILL see married Priests.

And, shortly thereafter, women priests.

Numerical realities will trump tradition and dogma faster than you can say "collection basket". As with altar servers in our church, it will boil down to a choice between non-traditional candidates or no candidates.
