How do people in apartments compost?

Red wiggler worms. If done right it produces almost no odor (usually much less than a average kitchen waste basket) and you can do it in a small container that fits under your kitchen sink. Of course then you have worm castings or what gardeners call blackgold. And if you don't garden then you got to get rid of the worm castings somehow.

It said in the article: (give the city) ...food waste in a separate receptacle, then next year buy it back for your (non existent apartment) garden.

IOW, it is a scheme for you to pay them to haul it away, so they can sell it; and fine you if you don’t cooperate.

Has nothing to do with ‘greenhouse gasses’ or ‘reducing food waste.’
