Yep. My thoughts exactly. It appears that the crimes and convictions likely took place before the new king took office. They also took part in three separate parts of the country. So it is just business as usual and nothing new.

Of course, I do have to wonder about the crime of incest. How do they define it considering the inbreeding of the House of Saud? There is far more genetic diversity in the hills of West Virginia.

One guy was beheaded for incest. This shows the new King just might have some Progressive ideas about improving the Saudi gene pool, which all agree needs some serious work.

The good olde King was bumping off guilty subjects at the rate of 80/year. I bet this Progressive young fellow will come nowhere near that. But evil-doers beware! If I translate his coronation remarks correctly, HM said, "No more Mr. Nice Guy!"

My comment was less about these particular beheadings and more about what I perceive to be the culture in the royal family over there.

Generally in the Muslim world, incest is limited to immediate family. 1st cousins are fine, but brother/sister/mother/father/son/daughter is off limits.
