LT. COL. RALPH PETERS: What we have here is very, very clear, it's damnably clear that the White House which doesn't understand why this is a big deal. I mean, he just deserted, right?Wouldn't anybody do that? And they just want to protect the president. And they are pressuring the Army, pressuring the Army to whitewash this. And they don't understand that for the military, those who went before, retirees like me, those on active duty, this is a powerful matter, as you heard from the young soldier, of precedent and principle.

The Sultan will probably get his way. I would not be terribly surprised if Bergdahl gets an honorable with 90% disability for ptsd.

If you let Bergdahl walk -- it's not about this pathetic little creep, Bergdahl, it's about the principle -- if you let him walk with full pay and benefits and a promotion despite overwhelming evidence that he deserted his post in wartime, you make it virtually impossible to prosecute future deserters. Now, in the Army, I'm sure -- the Army's not perfect. You've got some people craven enough and ambitious enough to save to the White House, and I'm sure they are arguing the White House's point, but so far you've got some generals that are showing backbone and saying, no, for the good of the Army, for the good of the military, he has to go through the Article 32 and into court-martial. And the White House is fighting it tooth and nail because they don't give a damn about our military, they just care about this pathetic puss in boots president's reputation.

Totally agree and it’s pretty disgusting to see flag/gen officers kiss
his half-rican a** like Kirby does...
I know, I know...the military serves and protects whoever is in office but seeing as O’bozo is in office through fraud, there may be an exception to that rule...
Sorry, too much coffee this AM.

Well its not like the guy only deserted once. Apparently he “walked off” ie deserted at least once before.

Peters about blew a gasket on Hannity.

Yeah there is one big exception their oath of office.

To this crew in the White House, desertion and aiding the enemy is a positive thing, as long as it hurts the jingostic, hetero normative, anti-LBTGQ sexist thugs in the US Military!

When I signed up I remember that I swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic....
See any irony in that oath these days?
If you don’t, have a nice day......
To: matginzac
It’s same oath as before. Have a nice day.

Lt. Col. Peters schooled Hannity the other day about this subject. He wasn’t pulling any punches. He called Bambi a pathetic puss-n-boots who hates the military.

Wha? Red, c’mon....
This prez has dumped on the Constitution and we who swear/swore to
up hold it need to speak up and say NO!
If you don’t see this, I need to pray for you...night night.

Bergdahl is going to walk. Barry Soetoro has deemed it so.

You seem to not understand me. I want the command authority here to do his duty by prosecuting this deserter and likely traitor. That 4 star general who makes the final decision to prosecute as he has the damning investigative report and recommendation to court-martial Bergdahl. I want to see a general court-martial. For him to discharge his duties, his oath of office, by resisting that infiltrating alien and usurping Obama and his criminal administration. That general is not going up in rank so he doesn't have to kiss the Senate's or Obama's asses. I want that man to do his job.

I agree Peters schooled Hannity and hopefully many others talking heads on Fox and their viewers. Peters was volcanic to the point of explosion and I liked it.

Of all of the "transformation" that 0bama has actually accomplished, second on the list is the devolution of race relations into the morass of carefully cultivated hatred that is the current American tragedy. The first, though, is the sustained attack on the armed forces as guinea pigs for the latest pretensions of liberal social theory. In Bergdahl's case it is nearly a parody: the guilty is the innocent, the innocent (and that includes the dead) are the guilty, huge sums of American money are paid to murderers because they're really better than we are, their leaders are released from confinement, their apologists advanced to the highest levels of government, and anyone who might resist this gyre of moral decrepitude dismissed from command or forced to retire. That's one hell of a "transformation".
A significant majority of the media were brought into their current cultural ascendancy through a miasma of conviction that the deserters are the heroes, the men in the field insensate Neanderthals, and the politicians who smile and hold them in contempt are paragons of virtue. We have a Commander in Chief who can't even salute because it isn't worth the effort - literally - to learn, and whose view of military utility is that of umbrella-holders, luggage-toters, and cocktail waiters for their betters.
I believe with all my heart that the American military is an institution strong enough to endure this blast of corrosion, its members serving their country and not this travesty of a President, their oaths to the Constitution and not to any two-bit progressive fascist who happens to be stinking up the Oval Office at the moment. The price for that is likely to be written in their blood.
