Oh, please...It's okay for men...but women, oh my!
THAT'S the type of sexism that bothers me.
And by the way, I don't use swearing as my typical mode. If I hit my thumb with a hammer when installing cabinets or some such thing, yeah, I'll say the S word.
I clearly said it wasn’t OK for men, you can’t read, I then made it clear that it is worse when women do it?
Females can do a lot of things that are more common to males, and yes, it makes them look like trash.
Seriously, you have to have that explained to you?
I know a guy who to look at -- well, looks like he'd probably swear a lot, very rugged and radical looking, almost scary, tattoos galore, the whole shebang, and works outdoors in a ranch setting where fingers get smashed, clothes get snagged, machines break down, etc.
Yet he actually has an aversion to bad language, though he uses it himself on occasion; he tries to be on his guard and is very respectful when ladies are present.
He was telling me about how he tried to break himself of it. Every time he'd smash his thumb or smack his shin or drop some bolt down into a hard-to-reach place, he'd "swear" with exactly the same venom and anger, except say, "Awwwwww ssssHUCKS!!" "Rats!!!" "Daw GONE it!!!" "DANG!!!!"
I giggled so hard hearing him tell it that tears were rolling down my cheeks.
That rough looking guy in dusty work clothes jumping around on one foot and cradling his hand in agony, exclaiming "DAaaaaaaagNABITT!!!"
