It would probably be all to the good if Iran attempts to make good on its threats in a big way. It would unleash an Israeli reaction that the US would have no excuse to abort because Iran strikes first, assuming, of course, that Iran does not already have a nuke capable of getting through Israeli defenses. If they did have that nuke, though, I don’t think use would be preceded by any threats.
