A man opened fire on police attending a swearing-in ceremony for new officers in New Hope, Minnesota, on Monday night....
As a city council member began a discussion of a resolution, a man with a handgun began firing, said Hennepin County Chief Deputy Mike Carlson.
Officials don't yet know why the man targeted officers. His name hasn't been released.

The shooter is being described as a person with a history of mental problems. That means he is white. Cuz blacks never have mental illness.
In what must be a record, two police officers who had just finished taking their oaths of office as new hires for the police department, left the meeting and were shot but not seriously injured by the gunman, then a third officer still in the meeting ordered everyone to take cover, then shot the perp.
“Geez, I hadn’t even gone on my first patrol when I got shot!”
This wouldn’t have happened had it been a “gun free zone”
Surely he was firing into the air in celebration of the swearing in of the new cops.
Would a white liberal know how to fire a handgun? Surely a liberal would not even be able touch one.
“Curious attack, as the city is 75% white. 14% amish. no dreamers and no real concentration of sleeper cell people.”
There is a large community of Somalis, many of whom have gone on jihad to the Middle East. I don’t know if the shooter was one or not, but the Somalis are some of the main troublemakers in the Twin Cities.

Kinda makes you wonder about that warehouse situation... Sounds like old boy lost his head over the whole situation.
Also begs the question on how he got his firearm. The charges listed against him should have popped on a NICS check.
Once again, gun bans protect no one and a restraining order is an exceedingly flimsy shield to hide behind.
The KSTP article noted that one councilman drew his weapon, whereas, FOX News stated that he “brandished” his gun.
