A GUIDE TO 2016 REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES POSITIONS ON ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION
EXCERPT:
Scott Walker: Wisconsins governor may support a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants. In 2013, he told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that he hasnt taken a position on citizenship for illegal immigrants. He told Politico, For people waiting to come in our country legally, weve got to make sure that they get in first, that they get their status first, because theyve been following the rules and playing by the rules. After that, if there is a way to set up a process so that you enable people to come in and have a legal pathway to do that, thats something weve got to embrace. Whether or not its that specific bill or not, I think theres some nuances to that.
Walker lives in a blue state, he takes on what he can and succeeds. I'm pissed he took a pass at a casino in Kenosha......but he may still be playing both sides. I'd also like him to take on right to work, but he's said he has other priorities. I think if right to work passes, he'll sign the bill. Lot's of work for him here in Wisconsin to still accomplish.
As long as a presidential candidate understands and completely supports the first step; i.e., securing the border, we can work the next steps out in Congress. Most Presidents are open to hearing the will of the people (the present one excepted).
There are no perfect candidates.
If you think Scott Walker is a viable candidate, then now is the time to impress on him the importance of securing the borders.
I’ll give Walker this, he can win in a blue state, he takes things that he believes in to the mat and he has successful executive experience.
Facts don’t lie!!
“It’s all is about the 11 million [undocumented immigrants],” Walker said. “You hear some people talk about border security and a wall and all that. To me, I don’t know that you need any of that if you had a better, saner way to let people into the country in the first place.”
Walker added: “If people want to come here and work hard in this country, I don’t care if you come from Mexico or Canada or Ireland or Germany or South Africa or anywhere else. I want them here.”
