Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who was released by the Taliban last year in exchange for five prisoners, is being charged with desertion, retired Lt. Col. Tony Schaffer told Bill O’Reilly on “The O’Reilly Factor” Monday.
Mr. Shaffer, who now works for the London Center for Policy Research, said two separate military sources have confirmed to him that Sgt. Bergdahl’s attorney has been given a “charge sheet,” listing out the articles of the uniform military code that have been violated.

Stand back and look at the whole picture.
Two guys in the White House had separate projects. One had this GITMO crew and finding ways of dispersing them out of GITMO. One had the Bergdahl family episode to find and gain his freedom. NEITHER guy ever talked to the Army or CIA. The Army knew the exact status of Bergdahl...deserter. The CIA knew the status of the five...they were extremely dangerous.
So, they bump into each other....find this middle guy in Qatar, and figure out a way to pay Qater, not the guys holding Berdahl....so it looks legit. Qater works the basic deal...pays the bad guys...gets things done.
I doubt if President Obama ever asked questions or understood any part of Bergdahl’s crime. The whole deal makes his crew look like fools now.
As for Bergdahl? I’ll predict this. The only way out of this is the original enlistment document where the Army asked if he had any prior discharges (he got yanked out of the Coast Guard during basic training, as I understand it). Either he got a medical discharge or a general discharge. If this was a general discharge...Bergdahl can’t get much help and gets a full-blast of reality. If this was a medical discharge...saying he was mentally unfit...totally different story...he’s off the hook because the Army never should have signed him up. So, the question is...what was on that document, and did the Army realize who this guy was?
Finally, I consider the guy to be a nutcase, period. Holding in some prison doesn’t score any points with me. The unit should have ID’ed this guy early on...unable to take orders, and put him out ASAP. When you keep guys like this around....they just create more and more problems. I just want to make sure he gets no back-pay, no VA assistance, and we don’t waste much time with a nutcase.

Your points are well taken as the men in Bergdahl’s platoon had on a number of occasions observed and or experienced his unusual behavior/thoughts. The platoon leader or sergeant should have sent Bergdahl to the Division shrink for evaluation. I find it hard to believe that the men in this unit did not know or think he was looney tunes prior to deployment.
POTUS Obama is naught but a “Traitor” to our great country!!!! But....we the pwople are to blame for allowing this “Hate America” incompetent, failed POTUS continue in office. We, the people should have forced Obama to resign or impeached him. We have stood by....and let him and his minions do anything they can to destroy the American nation. Shame on all of you!!!
He did... up until he deserted his unit. That's how the libtard's "mind" functions: 1) It was true (or close to the truth) once, 2) at the time it justified and supported the Ass Clown's decision to free 5 Talican leaders, and 3) most of the dumbass general public won't even remember the lie was stated.

A platoon Sgt or company commander aren’t baby sitters. Bergdahl, from everything said about the guy....was in need of serious baby-sitting. He’s not the kind of guy you’d take on a deployment like this. All he did was cause more issues.
You can add up everything from the original training, the search conducted for the guy, the lives of the men lost while searching for him, the cost of getting the five prisoners, and this whole investigation....millions spent...all on one single nutcase. That says it all.
Give him the Pvt Slovak treatment.

The father of Bergdahl is simply a Dhimmi. You can look it up on your own....he’ll never be anything beyond that. The Muslim religion uses Dhimmis for various purposes.
